Greg Thompson, the architect of the Special Operations Combatives Program (SOCP®), achieved official Program of Record status on March 23, 2010, marking it as the inaugural designated combatives program for all U.S. Army Special Operations Forces. It has since become the standard for combat in full body armor across various services and some Federal Agencies, with Enlisted Records Brief Codes including (SOCP I: BRT) and (SOCP II: FBR).
